Events
Grassington is a thriving community where there is always something going on. The Town Hall at the top of the main street is the venue for regular events all year round from live music and theatre through to antique and collectors’ fairs, while the cobbled square at the heart of the village is often transformed into a farmer’s market or performance space. Attracting visitors from far and wide, these are a some of the highlights of the year:
Grassington in December
Grassington is a wonderful place to be whatever the time of year but in December, with all the Christmas lights up around the town and the tree in the town square it really looks incredible. There are Christmas markets in December and lovely independent shops to explore and eateries to dine in. Its the perfect place to spend time in the winter months with so many beautiful places right on the doorstep.
Grassington 1940’s Weekend
Tucked Away House is the ideal base to experience the village winding back the clock to the 1940s. As well as dancing in the street, you might see Winston Churchill giving one of his famous speeches, catch a glimpse of a spy or a member of the resistance, a pilot, a naval officer or any of the armed forces. Why not dress up and join the fun? We promise no dried eggs or milk on our breakfast menu though!
