Tucked Away House is located in the historic village of Grassington right in the heart of Wharfedale. The Bed and Breakfast is ideally situated for exploring our lovely little village and the surrounding towns, villages and the wider Yorkshire Dales on foot, on bicycle, on horseback or by car. We’re close to the beauty spots of Malham Cove, Bolton Abbey and within easy driving distance of Skipton, Ilkley and Harrogate.

Favourite Walks

Grassington is on the Dales Way and you can literally head off from Tucked Away House on foot and discover fabulous footpaths everywhere. Suitable for every ability, you can take a gentle riverside wander down to Linton Falls or put on your hiking boots for some strenuous hill walking with magnificent views, amazing limestone pavements and ancient woodland.

Events

Grassington is a thriving community and there is always something going on. The Town Hall at the top of the main street is the venue for regular events all year round from antique and collectors fairs to live music and theatre.

Dickensian Festival

The annual Dickensian Festival brings the real spirit of Christmas to the village in Victorian style. From hot chestnuts to traditional entertainment, a nativity procession with a real donkey and of course, Father Christmas, the festive atmosphere is magical.

Grassington 1940’s Weekend

Tucked Away House is the ideal base to see and experience the village, it inhabitants and visitors going back in time to the 1940’s. You may hear Winston Churchill giving one of his famous speaches or catch a glimps of a spy? see a member of the resistance, a pilot, a naval officer or any of the armed forces around the village, not to mention the fashions from that era. Grassington is a rural area with a thriving farming community so it is unlikely you will find dried eggs or milk on our breakfast menu!

Grassington Festival

Grassington Festival runs for 2 weeks in the summer and features an eclectic mix of world-class international performers of all genres, community and family events. Please visit the festival website for confirmed acts.
